From March 8, Aéroports de Paris (Paris:ADP) hits a high note organising "les Jeudis Jazz d'Orly".Every Thursday from 17:00 to 19:00, terminal Ouest of Paris-Orly airport* turns into a concert stage and welcomes new jazz talents.Passengers can enjoy a programme showcasing young artists playing gypsy jazz, blues and soul, Latin jazz, vocal jazz and instrumental jazz.

These concerts are offered in partnership with the association "L'esprit Jazz", organizer of "Jazz à Saint-Germain-des-Prés Paris" festival (12th edition, from 20 May to 3 June 2012). Paris-Orly terminal Ouest is one of the venues for the event.

"Les Jeudis Jazz d'Orly" provide the opportunity to offer passengers and visitors an enjoyable musical interlude before a flight," highlights Franck Mereyde, Paris-Orly Managing Director. "We are also happy to offer young artists the chance to play in an unusual setting such as an airport, before a widely varied audience ".

23 concerts until September

For the 1st edition of the "Jeudis Jazz d'Orly", on 8 March, Aéroports de Paris has invited the David Reinhardt quartet to play. Django Reinhardt's grandson took his first steps on the musical scene at age 6, when he played with his father Babik at the Django d'Or awards. He subsequently joined numerous gypsy jazz bands before creating his own trio in 2008. After performing on most international stages, he will bring his guitar to Paris-Orly for the opening concert of the "Jeudis Jazz d'Orly".

Passengers not travelling on Thursday can listen to a jazz selection every day between 17:00 and 19:00 at the "Jeudis Jazz d'Orly" location.
