Passenger traffic
In October 2009, passenger traffic at Aéroports de Paris dropped by 3.3% compared with October 2008. Paris airports handled a total of 7.1 million passengers divided up between 5.1 million for Paris-Charles de Gaulle (-1.9%) and 2.0 million for Paris-Orly (-6.7%). Traffic at Paris-Orly was adversely affected by a strike conducted by a provider of aviation ground services.
For the first ten months of the year, passenger traffic decreased by 5.2%. For the same period, the number of connecting passengers decreased by 3.3% resulting in a connecting rate of 24.6% (against 24.2% for the first ten months of 2008).
