                                  Board Change


Abbeycrest Plc, the UK's leading jewellery manufacturer and distributor,
announces today that after 15 years on the Board, Mr. John Featherstone will be
standing down from his post as non-executive director on 10th October 2003. With
effect from the same date, Mr. George Marcall (aged 53) will be joining
Abbeycrest as a non-executive director.


Mr Marcall has formerly held executive directorships with Airtours plc and Yates
Group plc. He is currently chief executive of Glyn Webb Limited and a
non-executive director of Park Group plc and Matrix Drug Development Limited.


Commenting on the changes, Michael Lever, Executive Chairman said:
