LONDON--Advertising giant WPP PLC (WPP.LN), said Monday that its operating company Xaxis, the global programmatic media and technology platform, has agreed to acquire Bannerconnect, for an undisclosed sum.
MAIN FACTS:
-Bannerconnect specializes in providing infrastructure and services for digital media trading to publishers, advertisers and media agencies.
-Founded in 2004 in Sittar, the Netherlands, and with offices also in Amsterdam and London, Bannerconnect employs over 40 people.
-Bannerconnect's revenue for the year ended Dec. 31, 2013 were 4.3 million euros with gross assets as at the same date of EUR8.3 million.
-WPP shares at 1403 GMT traded down 2 pence, or 0.2%, at GBP12.75, valuing the company at GBP17.18 billion.
