LONDON--Advertising giant WPP PLC (WPP.LN) said Thursday Kinetic and GroupM have bought a majority stake in Financiere Poster, an out-of-home specialist in France, for an undisclosed sum.
Poster Conseil manages media planning and buying for agencies and direct clients, and provides planning and measurement technologies to both agencies and vendors. The agency's consolidated revenue for the year ended Dec. 31, 2014 were 9.8 million Euros ($10.76 million), with gross assets of EUR8.5 million.
This investment continues WPP's strategy of investing in important markets such as France, where WPP companies (including associates) collectively generate revenues of around $800 million and employ 5,000 people, it said.
Shares at 1030 GMT up 2 pence, or 0.13%, at 1586 pence valuing the company at 20.68 billion pounds ($32 billion).
