Walker & Dunlop Continues Funding of Two Non-Profits Focused on Poverty and Homelessness

BETHESDA, Md., Jan. 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Walker & Dunlop, Inc. (NYSE: WD) (the "Company") announced today that it supported LIFT and Community Solutions, two nonprofit organizations focused on combating poverty and homelessness in the United States, through its fundraising efforts in 2016. Over the past three years, Walker & Dunlop has raised over $400,000 for LIFT and Community Solutions, including $138,000 in 2016, through employee donations and Company matching.

LIFT is a national nonprofit dedicated to ending intergenerational poverty. With the help of Walker & Dunlop and its contributions from the previous year, LIFT was able to help families meet basic needs and achieve long-term goals, serving over three thousand members last year.

In under two years, those communities have already found permanent homes for more than 60,000 homeless Americans, including more than 30,000 veterans.
