Verizon Consumer CEO Manon Brouillette Resigns

Verizon Communications Inc. on Monday said Manon Brouillette has resigned as chief executive officer of Verizon Consumer Group after less than a year at the helm of the telecommunications giant's biggest division.

Verizon said Hans Vestberg, its chairman and chief executive, has assumed responsibility for leading the consumer group, which provides wireless and wireline products and services to more than 100 million consumers.

Ms. Brouillette, who joined Verizon's consumer group as chief operating officer and deputy CEO in mid-2021 after serving as president and CEO of Canadian telecommunications company Videotron, took the reins at the division from Ronan Dunne at the start of 2022.

In October, Verizon reported a drop in third-quarter profit as retail customers balked at recent price increases. The New York company said its consumer business lost 189,000 wireless retail postpaid connections during the quarter, with its price increases driving an elevated churn rate.

Mr. Vestburg on Monday said his immediate focus for the consumer group will be on "driving a closer consistency between the top quality network product we're bringing to market and the operational results we're producing."
