Lockheed Martin Corp. (LMT) and Textron Inc. (TXT) are the final contenders to buy United Technologies Corp. (UTX) unit Sikorsky Aircraft, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
Sikorsky could be valued at about $8 billion, Reuters reported.
United Technologies may reach a decision by the end of the month, one of the people told Reuters.
The report said United could still opt for a spinoff instead of a sale.
