DUBROVNIK, Croatia, April 15, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- TAL Education Group, a leading K-12 after-school tutoring services provider in China, today announced it has presented at the Exhibition of Educational Cooperation and Exchanges between China and Central and Eastern European Countries in Croatia. This is the first time that the 16+1 summit featured an educational exhibition.

On the morning of April 12th, Premier Li Keqiang attended and addressed the Opening Ceremony of the 9th China-Central and Eastern European Countries Economic and Trade Forum in Dubrovnik that took place in conjunction with the 16+1 summit. The business forum was also attended by leaders of 16 Central and Eastern European Countries. After the opening ceremony, Premier Li Keqiang and other leaders visited the 16+1 Educational Cooperation and Exchanges Exhibition.

At the exhibition, TAL showcased its technology and data driven education solutions including Smart Classroom, Artificial Intelligence (AI) Teacher Language Learning System, Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology, Virtual Reality (VR) teaching products and won the praise of guests and visitors.

Other Chinese companies invited to the exhibition included Huawei, Commsat, Yalong, etc.

About 16+1

The 16+1 is an initiative by the People's Republic of China aimed at intensifying and expanding cooperation with 11 EU Member States and 5 Balkan countries in the fields of investments, transport, finance, science, education, and culture.

The 16+1 summits take place annually and to date, they have been organized in Warsaw (2012), Bucharest (2013), Belgrade (2014), Suzhou (2015), Riga (2016), Budapest (2017) and Sofia (2018). It was held in Dubrovnik this year (2019).
