The TA Restaurant Group, a division of TravelCenters of America LLC (TravelCenters), has announced the grand reopening of its Iron Skillet® full service restaurant at Petro Sparks, located at I-80, Exit 21 (1950 E. Greg St.) in Sparks, Nevada.

The newly remodeled restaurant is the last piece of a complete $2.5 million remodel of the location. The adjacent Alamo Casino, Super 8 hotel and the Petro Stopping Center have all undergone significant upgrades in the past year.

Inside the newly renovated Iron Skillet, guests will find a great new western themed casual dining experience, perfect for travelers and local patrons alike.

The new menu is part of a test by the TA Restaurant Group to offer its customers a significantly upgraded experience, from enhanced food quality that meets or exceeds that of many popular and national brands, to service levels that feature an unparalleled commitment to a great dining experience for all our guests.

NEW MENU

The newly designed menu features USDA Choice steaks. Sirloin, Rib-eye and T-bone are hand-cut on site and cooked over a mesquite-wood fire. Baby back ribs and brisket are hickory-smoked to perfection in house. Fresh, never frozen Chicken tenders are buttermilk marinated, hand battered, and made to order.

BUFFET

In addition to our full menu line up, guests may choose to indulge in our buffet, available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. During the week, the buffet features specialty offerings:

  • PRIME RIB Thursday (4 - 10 pm);
  • SEAFOOD Friday (4 - 10 pm);
  • BBQ Special Saturday (1 - 10 pm); and
  • COUNTRY COOKING Special Sunday (1 - 10 pm)

ALL YOU CAN EAT SALAD BAR

The newly designed, soup and salad bar contains over 50 items including select, locally-sourced produce, and hand crafted freshly prepared salads and vegetables.

BREAKFAST

The breakfast menu features popular Iron Skillet mainstays, including fluffy, 3-egg omelets, chicken fried steak and eggs, homemade sausage and our full line of hand-cut USDA choice steaks. On the weekends, guests can enjoy a brunch buffet featuring our custom-omelet station served (6 am to 1 pm).
