Piper Jaffray Strengthens Leadership in TMT Investment Banking

Piper Jaffray (NYSE: PJC), announced today that it has hired Marc Steifman as managing director and head of west coast technology investment banking. Steifman will join the firm on June 27 and be based in San Francisco.

Steifman brings 16 years of experience primarily in the electronics and hardware sector. Most recently he was managing director in technology investment banking with Jefferies, and prior to that at Bear Stearns and Prudential Securities. Steifman earned a bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Chicago.

Piper Jaffray has a global TMT investment banking and capital markets team of 40. Since 2006, the team has represented clients in 125 transactions with an aggregate value of $22 billion. In addition, the firm has 11 senior research analysts, covering 173 stocks across the broad spectrum of TMT universes, including internet, software, communications, semiconductors and hardware, services, media and entertainment.
