Piper Jaffray Sioux Falls Branch Celebrates 40th Anniversary



SIOUX FALLS, S.D., Sept. 10  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Piper Jaffray Sioux
Falls branch is pleased to announce its 40th anniversary of serving investors
in the Sioux Falls area. Piper Jaffray first came in to the Sioux Falls market
on February 1, 1964, when Piper Jaffray & Hopwood purchased Jamieson & Co.
Piper Jaffray is the oldest brokerage firm in South Dakota, tracing its roots
back to 1917, when the company operated as Slaugheter-Burke Grain Co. in Sioux
Falls. The Sioux Falls branch currently has 20 employees, including 13
financial advisors.

The branch will celebrate its anniversary with a ribbon-cutting ceremony
Wednesday, Sept. 15 with the Chamber of Commerce. In addition, the firm will
host a lunch for clients on Thursday, Sept. 16 at the Minnehaha Country Club
with guest speaker Tad Piper, vice chairman of Piper Jaffray Companies.
