Piper Jaffray Adds Two Investment Bankers to Technology
Investment Banking Practice
- Roth and Lonnquist Join the Firm -
MENLO PARK, Calif., April 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Piper Jaffray & Co. is
pleased to announce that Gregory Roth and John Lonnquist have joined its
technology investment banking practice. Roth's focus will be on communications
companies; Lonnquist will focus on the business services sector.
Roth, who is based out of the Piper Jaffray Menlo Park office, joins Piper
Jaffray as a managing director and brings 13 years of investment banking
expertise to the firm. Prior to joining Piper Jaffray, Roth was a managing
director at Presidio Merchant Partners in San Francisco. Prior to that, he was
a director with Credit Suisse First Boston. Roth holds a master's in business
administration from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in
Philadelphia and a bachelor of arts degree in political science organizational
behavior management from Brown University in Providence, R.I.
Lonnquist joins the Piper Jaffray technology investment banking team as a
principal and will co-head the firm's business services effort with Jerry Will,
both of whom are based in the firm's Minneapolis office. He was previously with
Deutsche Bank (Alex. Brown) for nine years in the U.S. and London, where he
most recently led their European Business Services effort. Lonnquist earned a
master's of business administration from Harvard in Cambridge, Mass., and a
bachelor of arts in government and economics from Dartmouth College in Hanover,
N.H.
