Matthew O'Brien Joins Piper Jaffray Medical Technology Investment Research Team

Piper Jaffray (NYSE:PJC) is pleased to announce the hiring of Matthew O’Brien as a principal and senior research analyst. O’Brien will be based in the firm’s Chicago office, focused on the orthopaedics and spine space as part of the medical technology equity research team.

Previously, O’Brien spent 10 years at William Blair & Company, LLC, where he was most recently a senior analyst leading coverage of orthopaedics, vision care and heart failure companies. Prior to that, he worked in investment banking and financial advisory at Duff & Phelps, LLC. O’Brien holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from DePaul University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago.
