In the news release, Piper Jaffray Ties for Eighth in Annual
Forbes.com/StarMine Rankings, issued earlier today by Piper Jaffray & Co.
(NYSE:PJC) over PR Newswire, we are advised by the company that the second
paragraph, first sentence should read "In addition to the firm's overall
ranking, six of its analysts received awards for stock picking and three
received awards for earnings accuracy" rather than "In addition to the firm's
overall ranking, seven of its analysts received awards for stock picking and
two received awards for earnings accuracy."

In addition, the third paragraph should read "In the earnings accuracy
category, the following three analysts received honors" rather than "In the
earnings accuracy category, the following two analysts received honors" as
originally issued inadvertently.
