11:50 - PG&E takes yet another hit to its environmental reputation after Cal Fire's report confirms the utility's electrical transmission lines were the cause of the 2018 Camp Fire that killed 85 people, and devastated over 150,000 acres. PG&E's governance also falls under closer scrutiny as negligence on safety issues may be further confirmed. California regulators had previously determined PG&E's equipment contributed to sparking 18 blazes that together killed 22 people in 2017. The utility has filed for bankruptcy protection due to its massive potential liability costs. The logging industry could end up as a beneficiary from the disasters as regulators and some environmentalists see the thinning of overgrown forest lands as a potential way to limit future fire devastation.
