Brazil's Petroleo Brasileiro S/A (PBR), or Petrobras, said a unit of its refinery in Pasadena, Texas, was being shut down for maintenance.
"Planned unit shutdown for necessary maintenance to address vibration issue on the wet gas compressor," Petrobras said in a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. It said an "air shutdown" related to the maintenance began Wednesday and would end Saturday.
The 100,000 barrel-a-day refinery is located within the Houston metropolitan area.
