ParTech, Inc. (PAR), a wholly-owned subsidiary of PAR Technology Corporation (NYSE:PAR), announced today that Lund Food Holdings, Inc. has selected the PAR SureCheck® Advantage Solution to support their food safety program at all of their Lunds & Byerly’s grocery stores. Lunds & Byerly’s, a Minnesota-based, family-owned company will deploy PAR’s SureCheck Advantage, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution for food safety and checklist management across their 28 locations, which are all dedicated to quality, service and innovation.

The Quality Assurance and Food Safety team at Lunds & Byerly’s were seeking a solution to replace their traditional ‘pen and paper’ based food safety and product quality processes with a technology based resolution. “The SureCheck Advantage solution automates our Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP) processes to improve efficiency, digitize our data, and proactively monitor all of our store’s quality and compliance,” said Chris Gindorff, Senior Manager of Quality Assurance and Food Safety.

Starting in 2015, the Federal Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) has required that businesses record, collect, and retain two years’ of historical food safety compliance records. In this context, for Lunds and Byerly’s, maintaining a diligent and rigorous plan with pen and paper became unsustainable. The SureCheck Advantage solution automates the operations, captures the required data in real-time and synchronizes it to a cloud-based enterprise for seamless, automated storage and recall of food safety records for management, maintenance, analytics, and auditing.
