American Stock Exchange to Trade Options on Five New Securities

NEW YORK, April 12  /PRNewswire/ -- The American Stock Exchange(R) (Amex(R)) will launch trading in options on Thursday, April 13, 2006 on the following Nasdaq Stock Market and New York Stock Exchange listed stocks of:

Cardiome Pharma Corp. options will open with strike prices of 10 - 12-1/2 - 15 and position limits of 5,000,000 shares.  The options will trade on the March expiration cycle.  The Specialist will be Jane Street Specialist, LLC. Cardiome Pharma Corp. is a product-focused cardiovascular drug development company with clinical drug programs.

Comtech Group, Inc. options will open with strike prices of 7-1/2 - 10 - 12-1/2 and position limits of 7,500,000 shares.  The options will trade on the March expiration cycle.  The Specialist will be Jane Street Specialist, LLC. Comtech Group, Inc. provides design solutions to telecom equipment, mobile device and consumer electronic manufacturers in China.

Himax Technologies, Inc. options will open with strike prices of 7-1/2 - 10  - 12-1/2 and position limits of 7,500,000 shares.  The options will trade on the March expiration cycle.  The Specialist will be LaBranche Structured Products, LLC.  Himax Technologies, Inc. designs and manufactures integrated circuits.

NewMarket Corporation options will open with strike prices of 35 - 40 - 45 and position limits of 2,500,000 shares.  The options will trade on the March expiration cycle.  The Specialist will be Group One Trading LP.  NewMarket Corporation develops, manufactures and blends fuel and lubricant additives marketed worldwide to refiners and others who sell petroleum products.

Savient Pharmaceuticals, Inc. options will open with strike prices of 2-1/2 - 5 - 7-1/2 and position limits of 5,000,000 shares.  The options will trade on the March expiration cycle.  The Specialist will be Group One Trading LP.  Savient Pharmaceuticals, Inc. develops, manufactures and markets human health care products for niche and wider markets.
