NextEra Energy Inc. on Friday said its board raised the quarterly dividend by 10%, to 38.5 cents from 35 cents.
The new payout, equal to $1.54 a year, represents an annual yield of about 1.83% based on Thursday's closing price of $83.95, up from 1.67%.
The Juno Beach, Fla., electric-power and energy-infrastructure company said the increased dividend is payable March 15 to shareholders of record Feb. 26.
