--3M has reached a tentative settlement worth at least $10 billion with several U.S. cities and towns to resolve water-pollution claims related to per-and polyfluoroalkyl chemicals, Bloomberg reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.
--The company's settlement aims to avoid a first federal court trial set to start on June 5 in Charleston, S.C., according to the report.
--3M spokesman Sean Lynch said in a statement that the company "doesn't comment on rumors or speculation," Bloomberg reported.
