Mirant Re-lists on the New York Stock Exchange

ATLANTA, Jan. 11  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Mirant (NYSE:MIR) announced that the company's common stock will begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) today.  To mark the occasion, Edward R. Muller, Mirant's chairman and chief executive officer, will ring the opening bell to initiate trading on the exchange at 9:30 a.m. EST.

On Tuesday, January 3, 2006, Mirant successfully emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
