JPMorgan Chase & Co. has struck a deal to become the exclusive issuer of Air Canada's loyalty-plan credit card in the U.S., while Mastercard Inc. becomes the exclusive payments network for the airline's new offering for U.S. customers.
The new Aeroplan credit card from Chase, which is expected to launch in late 2021, is part of a multiyear strategic partnership agreement between the companies, Air Canada said Monday. It was announced one month after the airline launched a transformed Aeroplan loyalty program.
Air Canada said Aeroplan will also become a transfer partner in Chase's Ultimate Rewards program, starting in late 2021.
