He reports to KCS executive vice president and chief operating officer Jeffrey M. “Manny brings extensive international engineering experience to the company with his work in the U.S., Canada, Australia and Brazil,” said Mr. Songer. “He has a strong track record of leading safety, operating efficiency and employee development programs, and we look forward to bringing his ideas to KCS.”

Mr. Loureiro joins KCS following a 37-year career with CN where he had responsibility in both the U.S. and Canada. He serves on the board of directors of Universal Rail Systems.

“On behalf of a grateful KCS, I want to thank Buck for his 42 years of continuous service,” said Mr. Songer. “Our company has seen significant changes over his tenure, and his leadership, expertise and commitment to safety has been a constant. We wish him and his wife, Donna, a long, healthy and prosperous retirement.”

Mr. Jones joined the company in 1978 and has served in his current role since 2016. He served as assistant vice president engineering from 2010 to 2016 and maintenance of way engineering management from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, he served in the signal department, joining management in 1985.
