World Cup sponsor Anheuser-Busch InBev NV on Friday said FIFA President Sepp Blatter to step down because he's become "an obstacle" to reforming the organization.
The statement came a week after the Swiss attorney general's office said it was investigating Mr. Blatter.
AB InBev, which is an official sponsor of the FIFA World Cup, said it is working with other sponsors on FIFA's effort to reform the organization. In a statement, the world's largest brewer said "it would be appropriate for Mr. Blatter to step down as we believe his continued presence to be an obstacle in the reform process."
Coca-Cola Co. and McDonald's Corp. made similar calls Friday for Mr. Blatter to step down.
