Ingersoll-Rand plc’s (NYSE: IR) Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend of $0.40 per ordinary share, reflecting a 25 percent increase and an annual dividend rate of $1.60 per share, up from $1.28 per share. Ingersoll Rand, a world leader in creating comfortable, sustainable and efficient environments, has paid consecutive quarterly cash dividends on its common shares since 1919 and annual dividends since 1910.

The dividend is payable December 30, 2016, to shareholders of record on December 9, 2016.

Lamach, chairman and chief executive officer of Ingersoll Rand. “Today’s announcement underscores our continued confidence in the company’s ability to generate strong cash flow and deliver a dynamic capital allocation strategy that creates long-term shareholder value.”
