Distinguished group of policy leaders and energy ministers will also be among international group of industry, policy and financial leaders at 34th annual energy conference in Houston April 20-24, 2015
An international group of industry, policy, technology and financial leaders—including CEOs and other senior leaders of the world’s major energy producers—will join leading experts from IHS to convene the world’s preeminent energy conference, IHS Energy CERAWeek 2015, April 20-24 at the Hilton Americas—Houston.
IHS CERAWeek, recognized as a leading forum offering insight into the energy future, is chaired by IHS Vice Chairman and Pulitzer Prize-winning author, Daniel Yergin. This year’s conference, IHS CERAWeek 2015, Turning Point: Energy’s New World, will focus on the energy future through the prism of a present marked with increased volatility—the dramatic fall in oil prices recently being the most visible example. More than 2,800 delegates from more than 50 countries and more than 300 distinguished speakers will examine the new risks and realities to be faced in energy markets, technologies and geopolitics.
Key themes to be explored include managing through turbulence, assessing turning points and new landscapes for the oil, gas and power industries and identifying energy’s grand challenges that will be confronted over the long term.
Featured energy industry speakers at IHS CERAWeek 2015 will include:
They will be joined by a distinguished group of government and policy speakers that include:
“We are very pleased to host such a prestigious and diverse group of speakers at IHS CERAWeek 2015,” Dr. Yergin said. “Increased volatility has shaken the energy world in recent months—nowhere more evident than in the dramatic fall in oil prices. New uncertainties challenge gas markets and the structure of the power industry. Markets can always upend current expectations and present new realities that confound current strategies. But knowledge can be applied to develop new strategies to adjust to new facts. IHS CERAWeek 2015 will provide greater clarity and insight for decision makers to manage through the cycle and chart their course into the evolving energy future. The insight from the speakers and analysis from IHS will provide understanding about market directions in the short term and farther into the future.”
