HSBC Holdings said the new accounting standards will increase its Common Equity Tier 1 ratio by 12 basis points. "HSBC Says New Accounting Standards Lower Its Net Assets, But Raise Capital Ratio," at 1057 GMT, misstated that the standards will lower the ratio by 12 bps in the third paragraph. HSBC said its CET1 ratio will increase by 12 bps, not decrease.
