The New Germany Fund, Inc. Announces Quarterly Report Now Available

The New Germany Fund, Inc. (NYSE: GF) announced today
that its March 31, 2005 quarterly report is now available online at
www.newgermanyfund.com.
   The New Germany Fund, Inc. is a non-diversified, closed-end
investment company seeking capital appreciation primarily through
equity investments in middle market German corporations. The Fund may
also invest up to 20% of its assets in equity securities of other
Western European companies. Its shares are listed on the New York
