Gabelli Dividend & Income Trust Expands Investment Team with Regina Pitaro and Brian Sponheimer Appointed Portfolio Managers

GAMCO Investors, Inc., (NYSE:GBL) announced the appointment of Regina M. Pitaro and Brian C. Sponheimer to the investment team of the Gabelli Dividend & Income Trust (the “Fund”) effective November 1, 2017. Ms. Pitaro and Mr. Sponheimer join Sarah E. Donnelly, Kevin V. Dreyer, Mario J. Gabelli, Jeffrey J. Jonas, Robert D. Leininger, and Christopher J. Marangi as portfolio managers on the investment team of the Fund.

Ms. Pitaro joined GAMCO Investors, Inc. in 1984 and is currently a Managing Director and Head of Institutional Marketing, where she continues to coordinate the organization’s focus with consultants and plan sponsors. She also serves as a Managing Director and Director of GAMCO Asset Management, Inc. Ms. Pitaro holds an M.B.A. in Finance from Columbia Business School, a M.A. in Anthropology from Loyola University of Chicago, and a B.A. in Anthropology from Fordham University.

Mr. Sponheimer joined G.research, Inc. (formerly Gabelli & Company, Inc.) in 2008 as a research analyst covering Automotive & Truck suppliers, and currently leads the Industrial Research Platform. He began his business career as an institutional equity sales trader at CIBC World Markets in New York and Boston. Mr. Sponheimer graduated cum laude from Harvard University with a B.A. in Government and received an M.B.A. in Finance and Economics from Columbia Business School.
