Federal Signal Named in Top 100 of the 2016 Chicago Innovation Awards

OAK BROOK, Ill., Sept. 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Federal Signal Corporation (NYSE: FSS), a leader in environmental and safety solutions, has been named a Top 100 Finalist in the Industrial/Manufacturing category of the 2016 Chicago Innovation Awards. The awards celebrate the most innovative new products or services in the Chicago region spanning a number of sectors, industries, and organizations of all sizes.

The innovation nominated is the Vactor HXX ParaDIGm®, a compact vacuum excavator that is designed for safe digging and is purpose-built to suit the needs of companies and contractors working with and around sensitive buried utility lines and cables with a speed, precision, and safety unmatched by other hydroexcavators currently on the market.  The user-focused design of the ParaDIGm combines all the functionality and performance of a traditional large hydroexcavator with the versatility of a multi-purpose work truck and the agility of a small skid loader.
