Eaton Vance Tax-Advantaged Dividend Income Fund Declares Early Distribution of Monthly Dividend & a Special Dividend

  
    
  
  
    
      Eaton Vance Tax-Advantaged Dividend Income Fund (NYSE: EVT), a 
      closed-end management investment company, today declared a distribution 
      of $0.1918 per share. This distribution represents an acceleration of 
      the Fund’s regularly scheduled monthly 
      dividend for January 2008 of $0.1524 per share, plus a payment of a 
      special distribution of $0.0394 per share. The special distribution is 
      being paid to enable the Fund to meet its 2007 distribution requirement 
      for federal excise tax purposes. The distribution will be paid on 
      January 7, 2008 to shareholders of record on December 31, 2007. The 
      ex-date is December 27, 2007.
    
    
      The special distribution reflects growth in the dividends being paid by 
      securities owned by the Fund. In recent periods many of the companies 
      represented in the Fund portfolio have increased their regular dividend 
      payment and in a number of cases have declared special one-time 
      dividends. In addition, dividend income generated by the Fund has been 
      enhanced by the continued success of the Fund’s 
      dividend capture strategies.
    
    
      The amount of monthly distributions may vary depending on a number of 
      factors. As portfolio and market conditions change, the rate of 
      distributions could change. At this time the Fund believes that a 
      portion of its respective distributions may be comprised of a return of
