Eaton Vance Tax-Managed Diversified Equity Income Fund Annual Meeting of Shareholders

BOSTON, Aug. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- At a meeting held on August 27, 2010, shareholders of Eaton Vance Tax-Managed Diversified Equity Income Fund (NYSE: ETY) (the "Fund"), a closed-end investment company, voted to elect Benjamin C. Esty, Thomas E. Faust Jr. and Allen R. Freedman as Class I Trustees of the Fund, each for a three-year term. The Fund's Class II and Class III Trustees, who serve staggered terms, were not up for election and remain in office.
