"DaVita Way of Giving" Provides $2 Million to Local Charities; Celebrates Fifth Anniversary

DENVER, Dec. 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- DaVita HealthCare Partners Inc. (NYSE: DVA), a leading independent medical group in America and leading provider of kidney care services, today announced that the company donated more than $2 million to charities across the United States through the "DaVita® Way of Giving."

For the fifth year in a row, teammates around the country actively engaged local nonprofits and contributed resources to assist in their missions through the DaVita Way of Giving. Nearly $6.8 million has been donated through the program since 2011.

Teammates at nearly 1,900 DaVita Kidney Care centers and HealthCare Partners sites chose charities that are locally based and make a positive impact for residents. Charities include children's organizations, crisis centers, health clinics, animal shelters, food banks and many more.
