Con-way Freight to Recognize Driver David Frazier for 3 Million Accident-Free Miles

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., June 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Con-way Freight, a less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier and subsidiary of Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW), today announced that professional driver, David Frazier, surpassed the career milestone of driving 3 million consecutive, accident-free miles. Frazier, who started with Con-way in 1987, is the fourth of Con-way Freight's 15,000 drivers nationwide to reach this safe-driving achievement. He joins the company's first 3 Million Miler, James "Jackpot" Sutfin of Las Vegas, Tom Syme of Palatine, Ill. and Tom Strissel of Mundelein, Ill. in this exclusive club.

Frazier has previously been recognized for reaching the 1 million and 2 million mile safe-driving milestones as well as receiving a 25-year safe-driving and safe-working award, signifying a quarter-century without a workplace injury or accident. To put the safe driving milestone into perspective,
3 million miles is the equivalent of 19,230 round trips from Charlotte to Winston-Salem.
