Citi has been chosen by Boeing as a 2015 Supplier of the Year. Boeing recognized Citi for its outstanding performance in delivering high-quality products and services and thought leadership in providing commercial card solutions. Citi is the first bank to win this coveted award from Boeing.

Boeing recognized its 12 top-performing suppliers worldwide, from a base of 13,000 suppliers. Citi was chosen because of the quality of its products and services, and the value it creates for Boeing, the world’s largest aerospace company and a leading manufacturer of commercial jetliners and defense, space and security systems.

“At a time when we are asking more of our suppliers than ever before, Supplier of the Year winners reflect an unrelenting dedication and commitment to Boeing and its global customers,” said Pat Shanahan, Boeing senior vice president, Supply Chain and Operations. “They are among the best aerospace suppliers the world has to offer and, with their help, we will continue to lead the market with affordable, innovative and technologically advanced products and services through the next 100 years.”

The Boeing commercial cards program, one of the services provided by Citi, is extensive, covering 71,000 cardholders across 26 countries and has allowed Boeing to improve control, compliance and efficiency.

Citi Commercial Cards in particular was recognized because of the continuous strong leadership it provided in helping Boeing deliver a best-in-class cards solution, which also was applied to a B2B/ePayables flow. Citi received the award during an April 13 ceremony that was one of the 2016 Boeing events marking the start of the company’s second century.

Gonca Latif- Schmitt, Head of Citi Commercial Cards for North America said “We are so proud to receive this recognition from Boeing. Citi and Boeing have worked hard to ensure that Boeing’s travel program is best-of-class in the industry.”

As a leading global commercial card issuer, Citi has one of the largest global footprints supported by unrivalled card acceptance. Citi is committed to providing a globally consistent customer experience as well as complete spend visibility which offers organizations enhanced expense control.
