BorgWarner Chain Drive Systems Featured On Cummins® 5.0-liter V8 Diesel Engine

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., June 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- BorgWarner is expanding its engine timing systems and drive chains into the North American light-duty diesel market with the Cummins^® 5.0-liter turbodiesel V8 engine family. Optimized specifically for Cummins V8 engines, BorgWarner's engine timing system includes bushing timing chains, arms, guides, tensioners and sprockets. BorgWarner also supplies chains for the fuel injection pump drive and oil pump drive, both designed for wear resistance and low noise.

Chain tensioners are hydraulically and mechanically tuned to meet the unique demands of the Cummins engine. Sprockets feature modified tooth profiles designed to offset vibration and noise.
