SUBSEQUENT EVENTS
|
•
|
The hardship suspension provision was removed resulting in a participant whose payroll deductions were suspended due to a hardship withdrawal taken prior to January 1, 2019 to be reinstated. The amount of hardship funds available was also amended to include Qualified Non-Elective contributions plus their earnings in addition to existing sources.
|
•
|
The amount of loan funds available was amended to include Qualified Non-Elective contributions plus their earnings in addition to existing sources.
|
•
|
Highly compensated employee company retirement contributions are capped at 9% of the Participating Compensation Limit for each Plan Year.
|
•
|
Automatic enrollment for non-union employees shall increase from 3% to 6% pre-tax to encourage savings for retirement. Each year thereafter, all non-highly compensated employees, shall have their pre-tax deferral increase by 2% instead of 1%, not to exceed 15% of eligible compensation. Employees may opt out of participation in these features.
|
•

A participant in the BorgWarner Inc. Retirement Income Plan (Pension Plan) may rollover their Cash Balance distribution from the Pension into the Plan upon termination of employment.
