(“Buenaventura” or “the Company”) (NYSE: BVN; Lima Stock Exchange: BUE.LM), Peru’s largest publicly-traded precious metals mining company, today announced that Mr. Gonzalo Eyzaguirre, Buenaventura´s Vice President of Operations, has been designated to serve as interim General Manager of Sociedad Minera El Brocal S.A.A. (“El Brocal”), Buenaventura´s subsidiary, effective July 19, 2017.

Mr. Eyzaguirre, will maintain his responsibilities as Buenaventura´s Vice President of Operations with oversight of Buenaventura`s operating units while assuming the role of El Brocal´s interim General Manager, in accordance with the Company´s Board resolution dated June 28, 2017.
