Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On February 26, 2020, Brookdale Senior Living Inc. (the "Company") filed a Current Report on Form 8-K with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to report that the Company's Board of Directors (the "Board") appointed Dr. Jordan R. Asher to the Board effective February 24, 2020. This Form 8-K/A amends and supplements such previously filed Form 8-K to reflect that on April 28, 2020, the Board appointed Dr. Asher to serve as a member of its Investment Committee effective May 1, 2020.
