California American Water assumes ownership and operations of the Meadowbrook Water Company on April 1, 2017

California American Water today announced the closing of acquisition and its commencement of operations of the Meadowbrook Water Company in Merced County. Under the terms of an agreement approved by the California Public Utilities Commission, California American Water will be providing its newly welcomed customers with state-regulated potable water service beginning April 1, 2017. California American Water purchased the Meadowbrook system of approximately 1,700 customers from the Walker family of Merced, California. The Walker family has owned and operated the water system for three generations.

California American Water maintains a staff of qualified personnel who are experts in their field and duly certified by the California State Water Resources Control Board.

New customers will now be able to utilize the company’s Conservation services offering rebates and free water saving devices.
