ALIBI COMMUNICATIONS PLC (the "Company" or "Alibi")



Statement re suspension



The Company has become aware of recent commentary on an internet bulletin board
regarding a potential transaction involving Alibi and New Screen Media Group plc
("NSM") (formerly Just Group plc).



The board of Alibi confirms that they are currently in early stage talks with
the management of NSM.   At this point there is no certainty whether a
transaction will or will not proceed, and no transaction structure or heads of
terms have been signed.  However, due to the relative sizes of Alibi and NSM, if
a transaction was to proceed it would be classed as a reverse transaction under
the AIM Rules.  As the Company is unable to provide any further details at this
time, the Company has requested that its shares be suspended from trading on AIM
until such time as a document is posted or the early stage talks fall away.
