Assurant Board of Directors Approves 6% Dividend Increase

Raises Quarterly Dividend by $0.03 to $0.56 per Common Share

Assurant, Inc. (NYSE: AIZ), a global provider of risk management solutions, announced that its Board of Directors approved a quarterly dividend increase of $0.03 to $0.56 per share of common stock. The dividend will be payable on Dec. 18, 2017 to stockholders of record as of the close of business on Nov. 27, 2017.

We’ve now increased our dividend each year since our initial public offering in 2004,” said Alan Colberg, president and chief executive officer, Assurant. “This increase supports our commitment to complete the $1.5B capital return to shareholders by the end of 2017 and affirms our belief that we will continue to generate strong cash flow over the long-term.”

Future dividend declarations will be made at the discretion of the Assurant Board of Directors and will be dependent upon the company's earnings, financial condition, capital requirements, future prospects, regulatory and other restrictions, among other factors.
