CVS/pharmacy Customers Can Now Make Cash Donations to American Red Cross Haitian Relief Efforts for Free Through MoneyGram

WOONSOCKET, R.I., Feb. 1  /PRNewswire/ -- WHAT: CVS/pharmacy customers who wish to use MoneyGram© ExpressPayment© to make cash donations to the American Red Cross can now do so for free. MoneyGram will not be applying any fees to donations made to the relief efforts in Haiti between now and April 1, 2010, making it easier than ever for customers to give generously to those in need.

HOW: Any customer wishing to make a cash donation to the American Red Cross for Haitian relief can quickly and conveniently use the MoneyGram ExpressPayment system via the following steps:

  1. Visit any of CVS/pharmacy's 7,000 locations: http://www.cvs.com/storefinder
  2. Use the red MoneyGram phone located in the Photo Center to speak to a
     MoneyGram operator
  3. Give the operator the receive code 3886 and the intended donation
     amount
  4. Pay for the donation, in cash, at the register
