Item 7.01.                      Regulation FD Disclosure.

On April 1, 2014, Hampton Roads Bankshares, Inc. (the “Company”), the holding company for The Bank of Hampton Roads and Shore Bank, announced that Denise D. Hinkle has been promoted to the position of Chief Human Resources Officer of the Company.
