International stocks trading in New York closed higher on Monday.
The BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts rose 0.6% to 157.61. The European index increased 0.6% to 142.41; the Asian index improved 0.6% to 191.12; the Latin American index rose 0.9% to 283.7 and the emerging markets index increased 0.5% to 353.49.
ADRs of Deutsche Bank AG (DB) rose 0.3% to $16.48 after the bank said it would go ahead with the listing of its asset-management business DWS at the earliest opportunity.
ADRs of Sasol Ltd. (SSL) rose 1% to $34.63 after the South African petrochemical and energy company reported lower net profit but higher headline earnings for the first half of the year.
ADRs of Vodafone Group Plc (VOD) rose 0.6% to $29.13 after the company said it would sell its 51% stake in the joint venture that controls Vodafone Qatar to the Qatar Foundation for approximately 301 million euros ($370 million).
ADRs of Rio Tinto Plc (RIO) rose 1.7% to $58.01 after disclosing that it had received a $345 million binding offer from Norsk Hydro ASA (NHY.OS) for a number of its European aluminum assets.
