DEARBORN, Mich., Aug. 9  /PRNewswire/ -- Lou Whitlock, manufacturing director
for the powertrain product line for Visteon Corporation (NYSE:VC), will speak
at the Society of Manufacturing Engineers' (SME) 2004 Manufacturing Technology
Summit on Aug. 11, 2004, in Detroit.  Whitlock will share insight on Visteon's
product, design and process development contributions that supported Ford Motor
Company's successful launch of its new F-150 pickup truck.

The two-day summit (Aug. 10-11) focuses on seven different technology areas,
each aligned with a technical community of SME.  Whitlock, who directs
Visteon's North American powertrain manufacturing operations, will speak during
the session regarding Product and Process Design and Management.
