Visteon Appoints John Donofrio Senior Vice President and General
Counsel 


VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, Mich., May 31  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Mike Johnston,
chairman-elect and chief executive officer of Visteon Corporation (NYSE:VC)
today announced the appointment of John Donofrio as senior vice president and
general counsel, effective June 13, 2005.  Donofrio, 43, joins Visteon from
Honeywell, where he was vice president and general counsel of Honeywell
Aerospace in Phoenix, Ariz.  As an elected corporate officer of Visteon,
Donofrio will report to Johnston.

Donofrio joined Honeywell in 1996 as associate general counsel.  After two
years in this role he was promoted to deputy general counsel, working
extensively on behalf of the company's automotive business.  In 2000, Donofrio
was appointed vice president and general counsel of Honeywell Aerospace, a
$10-billion, 40,000-person global manufacturer of aerospace components and
systems.

Before joining Honeywell, Donofrio spent seven years with the law firm of
Kirkland & Ellis in Washington, D.C., and New York, the last three as partner.
In this role he represented major corporate clients worldwide and worked
extensively with vehicle manufacturers.  He began his career as a law clerk in
the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Donofrio is the author of numerous legal publications and has served as an
adjunct professor at the Seton Hall University School of Law.  He has a
bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Rutgers University, and earned a
law degree and a master's degree in law from George Washington University.
