Grand Opening: U-Haul of South Veterans Introduces 802-Room Self-Storage Center

BLOOMINGTON, Ill., Sept. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- U-Haul will host a grand-opening event Sept. 19 to showcase its contemporary two-story indoor self-storage facility at 1710 R T Dunn Drive, site of the former Tom's Foods.

Bloomington residents and media attending the festivities from noon-3 p.m. can take a behind-the-scenes tour of the facility. There will be a complimentary lunch, a ribbon-cutting ceremony and other activities.

U-Haul Moving & Storage of South Veterans opened in a limited capacity in February 2016, offering truck and trailer sharing and moving supplies out of a temporary showroom.

Then the real work began. More than one year of cleanup and construction yielded a renovated 55,530-square-foot structure with 802 self-storage units. The facility offers U-Haul Remote 24/7® access, high-tech security features, elevators, an indoor load/unload area, and much more. Covered RV, boat and vehicle storage spaces are also available.
