Simtek Corporation Announces the Addition to the Management Team of Grant Hulse as Vice President of Worldwide Marketing

Former Qualcomm Executive Brings Rich Background in Tactical and Strategic Marketing 


COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Feb. 20  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Simtek Corporation (NASDAQ:SMTK), the inventor, pioneer, and world's leading supplier of nonvolatile static random access memory (nvSRAM) integrated circuits, today announced that Grant Hulse has been hired as Vice President of Worldwide Marketing.  Mr. Hulse joins the company from Qualcomm where was an RF Product Line Manager.

Mr. Hulse will report directly to Simtek's President and CEO, Harold Blomquist, and work closely with Allyn Pon, who will continue as a consultant and assist Mr. Hulse in strategic marketing initiatives.  He will be based in the San Diego office with Ron Sartore, and will spend time in both the Colorado Springs, CO and Dresden, Germany offices on a regular basis.

Prior to Qualcomm, Hulse was the Director of Product Marketing at RF Magic for 5 years, held various executive roles at AMI Semiconductor for 8 years before that, and started his career at NEC Electronics in various marketing roles.  He graduated #1 in his undergraduate class at Brigham Young University, and received a Masters in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
